Soor Mahatee Foundation
In May 2023, we established Soor Mahatee Foundation in Pune with the vision of promoting and nurturing Indian classical music. The foundation is dedicated to creating deeper awareness and appreciation for classical singing by offering opportunities to study, experience, and enjoy music in its many forms. Our core mission is to provide meaningful music education through workshops, lectures, and performances that explore the connection between music and other enriching subjects such as spirituality, the environment, and yoga.
The foundation was officially launched with a grand two-day musical festival—Soor Mahatee Mahotsav—held on September 2nd and 3rd, 2023, in Pune.

Soor Mahatee Mahotsav
In addition to the grand musical celebration, Soor Mahatee Foundation has curated several smaller yet meaningful musical sessions. One such program was “Saam Sangeet”, designed to introduce audiences to the rich tradition of Vedic music. Led by Vedic scholars Shri Raghav Ramdasi and Shri Pranav Gokhale, the session offered deep insights into the origins and structure of Vedic chanting and its connection with Indian classical music. The program received a warm and enthusiastic response from the audience and is now available permanently on the foundation’s official YouTube channel for all those interested in exploring the spiritual roots of Indian music.

As part of the festival, Soor Mahatee Foundation also released a special documentary titled “Veenecha Chiranjiv Jhankaar”, capturing the remarkable musical journey of the legendary vocalist Vidushi Veena Sahasrabuddhe. This documentary is now permanently available for everyone to watch on the foundation’s official YouTube channel, making it easily accessible to music lovers and students of Indian classical music worldwide.
